Write to the PB Nepal review desk

Corrections, trail condition updates, and repair questions about boots or zippers reach us by email. We read everything, but replies come slowly, usually within a week, because most of the team is somewhere on a route.

Reach the review desk

We read everything that lands in the inbox, but replies come slowly. Most of the year the team is somewhere on a trail, so expect about a week before you hear back. Email is the only channel we run. There is no phone line and no live chat.

When we read and reply

  • Monday to Friday, roughly 09:00 to 17:00 South African time.
  • During trekking seasons the desk goes quiet for a week or two at a time.
  • Messages sent on weekends are picked up the following Monday.
  • Corrections to a published review get read first, ahead of general questions.

What is useful to send

  • A correction to something we published, with the route, the date, and what you actually saw.
  • A teahouse that has changed hands or closed since our last visit.
  • A trail section that has washed out, moved, or been rerouted.
  • A repair question about boots, zippers, or down loft after a wet season.

What we cannot do

  • Book teahouses or hold rooms on your behalf.
  • Arrange permits or file paperwork for you.
  • Give medical advice, including altitude sickness treatment.
  • Answer sponsorship or paid placement requests. Those messages go unanswered.

Reader support desk

Send a correction, a trail update, or a repair question

This is the only way to reach us. No phone line, no live chat, no booking service. We read everything, but replies are slow — usually about a week, sometimes longer when part of the team is on trail. If you are writing about a specific review, put the route and the date in the subject line so it does not get lost.

We cannot book teahouses, arrange permits, or give medical advice. Sponsorship and paid placement requests are not answered.

Prefer email? Write to info@pbanepal.com. Same inbox, same slow reply.

Where the desk sits

Finding us in the Kathmandu Valley

The review desk runs out of a small office on the eastern edge of the valley, close enough to the trailheads that gear comes back muddy and gets logged the same week. If you are passing through before a trek, this is where the boots, jackets and filter parts live between trips.

Getting here

  • From the ring road, take the eastern valley road toward Bhaktapur and turn off before the brick kilns. The office sits behind a low wall with a green gate.
  • Local buses stop roughly ten minutes' walk downhill. Ask the conductor for the stop past the water tank, not the one by the school.
  • If you are coming straight from the airport, allow an hour in traffic and arrive before mid-afternoon, when the team is usually still in.
  • Bring the item you want to talk about. Boots with a split seam or a jacket losing loft are easier to discuss in person than over email.

Visits are by arrangement. Email first and we will tell you which day someone is actually at the desk.
