Personal trip planning
You are welcome to read, print, and keep our notes for your own trek. Copying a packing list into your notebook, sharing a route summary with the two people you are travelling with, or citing a passage in a personal blog post with a link back is fine. What is not fine is bulk scraping the site, feeding our text into a training dataset, or republishing whole articles under another name without written permission from the desk.
Dated observations, not live conditions
Every write-up carries the season it came from. Trail damage, bridge repairs, permit rules, and teahouse opening dates shift between October and April, and a lodge that served good dal bhat two winters ago may have changed hands since. Treat what you read here as a historical record of what we saw, not a live status report. Confirm current conditions with local operators or permit offices before you commit to a route.
Reader corrections and credit
If you write in with a correction, a photo of a washed-out trail, or a note that a guesthouse has closed, we may fold it into the relevant page. Once published, that material becomes part of the desk's archive. We credit contributors by first name and the route they were on, unless you ask us not to. We do not pay for submissions, and we do not guarantee that every correction will be published.
External links
Where we point to permit offices, weather services, or transport operators, those links are there for convenience. They are not endorsements, and we do not control what those sites publish or how they handle your data. Check their own terms before you rely on anything you find there.
Risk and limits of responsibility
Trekking in Nepal carries real risk: altitude, weather, landslides, and the ordinary chance of getting sick far from a clinic. We are a review desk, not a guiding company. We do not run trips, sell insurance, or supervise anyone on a trail. Decisions about routes, gear, and acclimatisation are yours, and so are the consequences. To the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for loss, injury, or expense arising from use of this site.
Changes and contact
We update these terms when our practice changes, and the revised version takes effect the day it goes up. If you keep using the site after that, we take it that you accept the new wording. Questions about permissions, corrections, or legal matters can go to
info@pbanepal.com, or by post to 6831 Robyn Mount Apt. 235, Nkululekoport, KZN 4071.
